Report a missed bin collection
To be able to access all of our features, you need a browser that supports JavaScript, and it needs to be enabled.
Use this form if your bin was not emptied on your scheduled collection day.
You must report a missed collection by 5pm on the next working day after your collection was due.
Before you report a missed collection
Only report a missed collection if:
your bin was put out by 6.45am on collection day
your bin was at the boundary of your property
your bin was not too heavy
your bin did not contain incorrect items (contamination).
If your bin was too heavy or contained incorrect items, we will leave a hanger on the bin explaining why it was not collected.
Our collection vehicles record when a bin has not been emptied because it was not put out, was too heavy or contained incorrect items.
If your bin was not emptied for one of these reasons, you can arrange a return collection for £53. To do this, call 01442 228000 and ask for Customer Services.
If you do not want to pay for a return collection, you can wait until your next scheduled collection or take the waste to a Recycling Centre .
You must remove any incorrect items or reduce the weight of the bin before a return collection can take place.
What happens next
If your bin was genuinely missed by our crews, we aim to return and collect it within five working days of receiving your report. This includes kerbside food caddies.
Return collections are subject to vehicle and crew availability.
Green-lidded bins
We only collect green-lidded bins from properties with a current garden waste subscription.
