Report a missed bin collection

Please report your missed bin within 48 hours of your scheduled collection day.

We will only return to empty bins (including kerbside food caddies) that have genuinely been missed by our crews.

An electronic reporting system in our collection vehicles records all bins that are:

  • not put out for collection
  • are too heavy
  • contain items that shouldn’t be in the bin, known as contamination.

If we need to come back for any of these reasons, there will be a charge of £49. You must pay this before we will return. Call 01442 228000 and ask for customer services to pay the fee. You will also need to fix the problem by removing the contamination or making the bin lighter.

If you do not wish to pay the fee, you can wait until the next scheduled collection or take the waste to your nearest Recycling Centre.

If you report the issue more than 48 hours after the scheduled collection we will be unable to return.

You can take any excess waste to a Recycling Centre.

To avoid a missed collection, ensure your bins are on the boundary of your property by 6.45am on collection day. You can also check your bin collection date online.

If you believe that we have genuinely missed your bin collection, then please continue with the reporting process below.

Green-lidded bin collections

Please note: we will only collect green-lidded bins if you have bought a garden waste subscription for the current season. Find out more on our garden waste subscription page. If you haven’t bought a garden waste subscription, please do not fill out this form.
